Did I tell you I was learning Japanese?! Well, I'm taking a course at a university called Japanese for beginners 1 and it is so fun and I'm learning a lot because I tried learning at home before and it just didn't work, things weren't going to my head but now I know the katakana and hirigana tables off the back off my hand. My friend gave me this book to learn them real easy! Plus, the teacher we have is slightly insane and weirdly enthusiastic, she's called Noriko and we all love her LOL!

Why I'm learning Japanese is not because of my ex who was Japanese (not Kame or Jin looking but reasonable) we broke up like a week before Valentines day..the reason? well at a party my friend Tim (he's so crazy talks so fast) says that I'm too nice and smiley to people (is that a crime?!) and they'll take advantage of me and it's ok to be a bitch sometimes and it got me thinking that maybe my bf was not good for me and well I talked to him and it ended. My friend was so sad she thought like we were gonna get married or something cos she says "Yvonne, what are you gonna do when Ken goes back to Japan (cos he's an exchange student from some university in Tokyo) maybe you can go and live there" yeah right!!!

Anyway, speaking of Japan, I got mistaken as Japanese again ;_;...do I really look Japanese...should I feel insulted being chinese or take it as a compliment? When I was paying for petrol at the station the cashier says to me "Are you from Japan?" I goes no, from Scotland actually and he goes "Scotland, that's a nice city" ok, I thought and handed him the money.

Oh right and sticking to the theme, I still work part time at the Sushi restaurant and because one of the girls is leaving at the end of March I've been promoted to *drum roll* SUSHI CHEF/ASSISTANT so I'll be learning to make Nigiri's woo so far we minors only make the Hosomaki and Chumaki but when the manager told me he was all "This is a good opportunity and to learn something new it will be good for future reference and the company have chosen YOU" eek I was shitting myself!

Sometimes I really do feel Japanese~

P.S. Can anyone help me with my LJ layout, the text elements are off center anyone know why, jeez I'm so clueless with LJ coding, maybe it's something that's unfixable and I'll just have to live with it o_O

Well I said it'd be cool to learn Japanese the way you do - you're intelligent enough and you have an adorable teacher.
And I'm sorry that you both broke up tho I didn't know anything of you before. But breaking up is a horrible thing, isn't it?
To be called 'Japanese' would let tremble my heart much faster ** I'd be very satisfied with that compliment

Breaking up is sad but somehow I feel better than staying tied down by a relationship that wasn't working so it's sometimes is a good thing!

Oh rly! Maybe I should learn from you see the good side of things more, being called Japanese ain't so bad I guess, Japanese people are cute ^w^

It's not as glamorous as you made think huhuhu~ but it's something I've always wanted to learn and thank you, yes Japanese is hard when learning by yourself I was like wuh~ but in the classes I learn a lot ♥

I got dumped right before St. V's day too. It was odd, hehe. My friends were all "say WUT?!" lol.

I thought everyone knew I was Chinese at my school, but it turns out there's a bunch of people who thought I was Japanese. (Not the Chinese kids of course, haha.)

Oh yea, it sucks breaking up before Valentines day but in the end I had a great night in with the people I actually care about so it all ended up good and well...

haha! It's strange isn't it is there a distinction between Japanese, Chinese and Korean?

there definitely is, but sometimes it seems like only the asian kids can see it XD

What languages can you speak? I speak a little french, welsh, cantonese and spanish and now Japanese ...you probably think I'm a language freak eh? yeah LJ layouts are so difficult *cries*

Ohh Noriko is such a nice name, haha makes me always think of just Nori. Like the seaweed Nori *_*.

Hee! At the time I was like yea...but then realised he just said Scotland is a city ^_^;;; ..At the start we're like yeah we can eat sushi everyday for lunch but after a while you get sick of it although I do love miso soup and edamame yum!

very. but now I'm starting to understand the structure and I speak Japanese at home more than cantonese and my parents hate it -eep-
